Supporting climate change adaptation work in the Tampere City Region

We developed the climate change adaptation work in the Tampere City Region together with regional experts by preparing the main principles of adaptation for the Tampere City Region’s structural plan. Additionally, we supported the adaptation work of the region’s municipalities by developing an adaptation toolkit and related communication. The entire package includes a workbook for supporting adaptation planning, in which we compiled a comprehensive set of checklists, spreadsheet tools, good examples, and summarized information on the most significant weather and climate risks in the urban region into risk cards.

We built the adaptation toolkit together with stakeholders in workshops, which we prepared by conducting a literature review and a survey directed at residents.
