Planning and stakeholder communication in the Adaptable Urban Area project. Tampere City Region 2022-23.

In close cooperation with experts from Tampere City Region, Tyrsky developed an adaptation toolkit that offers municipalities in the city region means to develop their climate change adaptation work. The toolkit and workbook include a comprehensive package to support the planning of climate adaptation work, e.g. checklists, Excel tools, examples from Finland and abroad and information about the most significant weather and climate risks in Tampere City Region. Weather and climate risks are also described in the project’s visual risk cards. In addition, Tyrsky drafted the main principles of climate change adaptation for the structural plan of the Tampere City Region. Finally, Tyrsky outlined communication tips related to climate adaptation targeted at different groups.
