Phosphorus is an important agricultural nutrient which can be recycled from waste water. However, there are many obstacles that discourage this circularity. Tyrsky assessed current policy and financial instruments in Europe used to increase the recycling of nutrients, and developed recommendations for Finland. We organized stakeholder co-operation and took care of information activities of the project (drafted policy briefs, press releases, etc.). The study strengthened the national knowledge base on phosphorus circular economy for further decision making.
