Planning, facilitation and reporting of an international workshop on holistic water flow management, 2015

Tyrsky planned and facilitated an international workshop on holistic water flow management in Jurmala, Latvia. Workshop aimed at merging needs and finding joint issues in order to increase co-operation on holistic rural water flow management. Focus of the workshop was to expand collaboration between researchers and practical actors, advance applicability of research results and identify ways to integrate various interests and work with different stakeholders.

Tyrsky summarized the workshop results in a report. In addition to the substance discussed, the workshop facilitated co-operation between participants. SLU used the results of the workshop in a project plan on holistic water flow management that involved the various participants of the workshop as well as the key stakeholders they identified. The workshop laid the groundwork for launching a new NUTRINFLOW project in the Baltic Sea region.
