Assessment of the potential and opportunities for repairing goods

The goal of the project was to map the current situation and potential for repairing and having goods repaired in Finland, identify the challenges and opportunities for promoting repair, and draw up policy instrument recommendations to promote the availability and attractiveness of repair services.

We were responsible for the project consortium management, project coordination, and the policy recommendations. In addition, we conducted a literature review on the current state of goods repair and mapped out the changing EU regulation in the sector. We also organized a policy instrument workshop for repair sector stakeholders, where we surveyed their views and needs for developing and finalizing the draft policy instruments.

We implemented the project together with the University of Helsinki and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).
