Development of Climate Governance in the City of Kemi

Our goal was to develop the climate governance and its operating models within the City of Kemi’s organization.

In the project, we investigated how to make the “Green and Sustainable” operating model the default method and criterion for the city’s decisions and activities, and how to help the entire staff internalize what a “Green and Sustainable Kemi” means in each person’s own work.

We conducted interviews, carried out desktop research, and organized three remote workshops for the City of Kemi’s employees. The final result was a summary and recommendations for further action.

The implementation was part of the Expert Services for Climate Work offered to the Municipalities of the Regional Council of Lapland project.
